If you want to build a professional-looking
website, you need to know how to get the exact look you want and
you
won't achieve that without knowledge of HTML. This remains the case
even when you have invested in state-of-the-art web design software.
Sorry, but it's true.
It doesn't matter if you have not memorized every bit of complex 'style
sheet' coding, but it is useful to know what it can do for you and
where you can go to get the right code when you need it.
What I would suggest, then, is that you glance through an HTML guide
book, familiarising yourself with the range of functions that HTML can
do for you including 'style' coding but that you do not need to learn
everything immediately.
Then, armed with a little knowledge, you will better undrstand the
menu functions on your HTML editing software and will know where
to look if you need to consult your HTML guide for exact coding, given
that HTML editing software cannot second guess the exact look that you
are trying to achieve every time simply by manipulating menus. You
usually need to 'clean up' the HTML code after web design as remnants
of alterations you made earlier may be left behind. Obviously, you need
to know HTML code to do the clean up effectively.
If you want some help with this, particularly if you are doing it in
the context of affiliate marketing, you may want to use our ebook, Successful Affiliates Guide, the
complete guide to affiliate marketing.
